DGDC Committees
We have four Committees responsible for implementing the four step approach endorsed
by Main Street.
Design Committee
The Design Committee strives to enhance the appearance of Downtown Goldsboro.
This Committee reviews and recommends designs, placement, materials and other decisions
related to aesthetics for streetscape improvements. They also review Façade Grant
and Landscape Incentive Grant Applications to make recommendations to the Board
of Directors. They meet with property owners to encourage good rehabilitation and
restoration practices. This Committee is continually creating new projects to improve
the visual appearance and well-being of downtown.
Promotions Committee
Does Center Street Jam, Jazz on George, Downtown Lights Up or Boo It Downtown
sound familiar to you? These events, as well as many others are available to the
public due to the efforts of this Committee. This Committee also aids the staff
in efforts to publicize activities and events, volunteer man hours and creates new
ideas to make downtown interesting and fun.
Economic Restructuring Committee
The ER Committee works to facilitate new investments in downtown and invoke
financial support through community donations to our non-profit organization. This
Committee also works on activities and projects that will refine our organization
as we step into the community to demonstrate and illustrate the benefits of downtown.

Organization
This step in the Main Street Approach is administered and implemented through
our staff and the Board itself. We build partnerships to create a consistent revitalization
program and develop effective management and leadership downtown. We assure that
everyone is working together for a common goal—to make Downtown The Place to Be.
